Worldwide Cooperation with Advocates for International Development (A4ID)
CMS entered a global partnership with Advocates for International Development (A4ID) in July 2010. The leading international aid organisation A4ID, which has received numerous awards, offers legal services to over 200 development aid organisations free of charge by enabling internationally renowned lawyers to put their professional know-how to use in humanitarian projects.
Already in the past, CMS, together with A4ID, offered free legal advice to NGOs such as Our Sansar, an aid organisation for orphans and street children, and the international child protection charity EveryChild.
By extending this partnership, CMS increases its commitment to international pro bono projects. The global cooperation with A4ID allows the 2,400 CMS lawyers at 53 locations to apply their expertise across many practice areas and legal systems for charitable purposes in a more focused, faster and more efficient way.
